Celebrated Chef Heads Houston Kitchen

HOUSTON, TEXAS (March 4, 2013) — Abby’s Catering has just announced Mark Kulisek as their new executive chef of their deli and cafeteria management division, widely known as Abby’s Deli & Take Out.

Chef Kulisek’s fine dining expertise and corporate administration in resorts and hotels worldwide spans an impressive 35 years.  Born in Aruba and raised in the Orient, he settled in the United States and earned his bachelor of business administration at Florida State University, with a major in hotel and restaurant administration.

He has held positions as executive chef for renowned hotel chains such as the Hyatt, Westin, and Wyndham, as well as the Sam Houston Race Park, the distinguished Warwick Hotel, and Divi Resorts in St. Maarten.

The chef will plan, prepare, and oversee all of the culinary operations for the deli and cafeteria management divisions, which have gained a loyal, steady following since their inceptions.  Diners can expect to see new, gourmet lunch specials on the menus that will be as diverse as the chef’s background, such as dishes with Asian and Mediterranean-inspired influences.  Favorites like beef, chicken, pasta, pork, and seafood will remain a mainstay, which Abby’s customers have come to rely upon over the years.
