As a multi-award-winning chef, his culinary achievements will bring a new dimension to Abby’s Catering signature services and facilities. Raised in Austria, Chef Niko brings over 20 years of experience to Abby’s. Formally trained during a three-year apprenticeship at the chamber of tourism in Austria, he earned his cooking stripes under a master chef at the Hotel Schwarzer Adler in Austria and it wasn’t long before Karoui was touring the world as part of the Formula One Paddock Club catering team. Following his career at the Paddock Club, he landed an executive chef position aboard the Seaborn Pride, a Five Star Yacht and when catering giant, DO&CO wanted to kick off their catering facilities in New York, they chose Niko to spearhead that venture. Under his direction, Niko helped launch several first class lounges for top global airlines like Emirates and Lufthansa at JFK International Airport. This catapulted his name to be highly revered in the food community with employers like Newman’s Kitchen, Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs, Elegant Affairs Catering, LSG, and Flying Food Group on his resume, displaying his talents catering global events for up to 14,000 guests.
Through his efforts, Niko has left a tasteful impression on the Inflight F&B scene because of his quest for new inspiration and innovative ideas.
