Houston, TX- (March 7, 2016) Abby’s Catering is undergoing some big changes as they gear up for the launch of their commercial aviation kitchen. In preparation to take on commercial airline accounts, Abby’s Catering will gain 4,200 square feet of space and a new asset to their leadership group.
The expansion of their headquarters will include more office space for growing business units, including social event catering and food service management, along with the build out of a designated Halal kitchen and an R&D room. Abby’s Catering is dedicated to providing wholesome, high quality products to our customers by implementing a food safety plan based on Codex Alimentarius HACCP principles. The Abby’s team welcomes Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager, Sara Alian. The FSQ Manager will lead and teach the Food Safety Team as well as be responsible for all aspects of food safety and quality within the company by using Good Manufacturing Processes. Ms. Alian will continually work to verify and advance the food safety program through audits, inspections, and training while upholding the safest possible systems and physical environment in order to eliminate the hazards in which food is exposed within our facilities. Her strategy development will include improving sanitation and overall food service at the distribution level.

Sara also serves as a liaison with local and federal government regulatory agencies to ensure consistent compliance.
