HOUSTON, TEXAS (April 20, 2016) — Abby’s Aircraft Catering recently received a special delivery from Mallaghan GSE based out of Dungannon, Northern Ireland of high loader trucks. These catering vehicles are specifically designed for the use of loading and unloading fresh meals for the passengers and crew of wide body and large cabin aircraft. They consist of a rear body lift system, platform and hydraulic control mechanism to be lifted up and down to the galley door of the aircraft.
Abby’s is entering into the commercial airline-catering sector by popular demand all while maintaining their award winning private and corporate aviation catering divisions. All of Abby’s In-flight food is prepared in the newly constructed commercial in-flight kitchen, which is a HACCP and Halal certified facility where food is made in sterile and controlled environments. The packed food is then placed in trollies and wheeled into the catering truck or “high loader” onsite at the premises. From thereon the vehicle drives to the airport to load the meals onto the aircraft.
